We are thrilled to announce that Bruce Johnson of RE/MAX of Wasaga Beach has won the National Realtor’s Association’s ‘Good Neighbor Award’. This award, which recognizes realtors and their charitable acts within their community, has awarded Bruce for his extensive fundraising efforts, most notably his Motorcycles for Miracles rides, in support of the non-profit SickKids Foundation/Children’s Miracle Network. Bruce becomes the first Canadian realtor to ever win the Good Neighbor award.
With his own personal connection to the Children’s Miracle Network and Sickkid’s Foundation, Bruce has made it his mission to dedicate his time and effort to giving back. In memory of his daughter Alyssa, who passed in 1998 at 20 days old, Bruce and his daughter Holly embarked on a motorcycle ride across North and South America. This ride, deemed the ‘Ends of the Earth’ ride, raised more than $600,000 towards the Children’s Miracle Network.
Bruce remains an active donor and champion of the Children’s Miracle Network and the SickKids Foundation, and inspires RE/MAX realtors everywhere to also support the CMN and children’s health initiatives across Canada.
The “Good Neighbor” Award presents Bruce with a $10,000 grant, as well as an additional $2,500 towards Children’s Miracle Network.
Bruce, you truly raise us Above the Crowd! Congratulations!
