As we approach our third month of the RE/STOCK with RE/MAX donation drive, we are happy to share that we have now raised more than $133,000 toward restocking the shelves at local food banks and helping those in need, as we continue in this difficult COVID-19 climate.

With the pandemic still a prominent threat to our health and economy, and food banks struggling to stock their shelves, Zoi Ouzas and her team at RE/MAX Garden City Realty Inc jumped in to help.

In addition to making a generous donation of $250 toward RE/STOCK with RE/MAX, Zoi had the idea to create yard signs to help promote this campaign. The yard signs have been placed outside of their Grimsby, Ontario office, to encourage their community to consider donating as well.

Zoi shares her inspiration behind her decision to create the yard signs.

“I felt that if we put up some signs, maybe we could inspire the public to help, so I ordered posters for the windows and had a large sign installed in the most visible part of the grounds that can be seen by all passers-by, in the hopes that they too will be motivated to support this worthy cause.”

Zoi has received great media coverage as a result of her RE/STOCK with RE/MAX yard signs, and she has seen a lot of interest from the public. Her efforts have been featured in their local newspaper, The Grimsby Lincoln News.

She has also received inquiries regarding television interviews regarding their efforts. She hopes that this encourages others to donate to the cause.

Zoi Ouzas and her team are active in giving back to their community. Since 1999, Zoi has supported the Children’s Miracle Network, as well as the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. She is also an active supporter of the McNally House Hospice, a foundation that is close to her heart.

Zoi wishes to encourage fellow RE/MAX Agents to take part in giving back to their local communities, and believes that RE/STOCK with RE/MAX is a cause that is both timely and important.

“I know that RE/MAX Agents care about their local communities and are involved in their own ways. However, I would say to them, this is an immediate need and emergency that needs to be addressed by all those who are able.”

While we begin to adapt to the new normal, we know that there continues to be a surge in demand of food at the local food banks, and they are finding it difficult to keep their shelves stocked, which is why we encourage you, if you are able, to consider making a donation. A small donation of just $30 can help feed an individual in need for a week.

We thank you for your continued support, and thank Zoi and her team at RE/MAX Garden City Realty Inc, for their efforts & determination in helping support their communities during these difficult times!
